Early American Energy Intro

Early American Energy Intro For the project, we have been tasked to create a scaled model of a mechanical machine that could plow a field using the power created from water. With the challenge assigned to us, we have begun figuring out ways of transferring hydropower into a mechanism that could plow a field. At first, we assumed we would need to make a tractor like a machine that would be powered by water, but after thinking about other forms of water power we moved to the water wheel. We decided that the most efficient design would use a water wheel and a chain and gear system to move a conveyor belt with small plow fixtures attached to it that would share an axle with a water wheel. As the water wheel would turn the chain and sprocket system would move in conjunction with it, and in the process tiling the dirt.
